DEAR FRIENDS,
During the esteemed visit of 7TH
CPC AT WESTERN NAVAL COMMAND, MUMBAI, NDNGS Association had got the opportunity
to represent our cadre in front of 7th CENTRAL PAY COMMISSION TEAM,
CHAIRMAN JUSTICE SHRI A.K.MATHUR, SECRETARY SMT.
MEENA AGARWAL, MEMBER SHRI RATIN ROY & MEMBER SHRI VIVEK RAE.
On behalf of NDNGSA, the following demands were put forth in front of 7TH CPC TEAM,
1. Ordnance Factories is an Industrial Organization
& fulfills the demands of all the three arms of our country’s Defence i.e. Army, Navy & Airforce, so that Ordnance
Factories Organization is known as
fourth arm of our country. The yearly demand of the armed forces from Indian
Ordnance Factories is around 32 thousands crores, but in the recent era, OFB fulfils
the demand of 16 thousands crores only i.e. 50% of the yearly demand of Armed
forces. Another 50% is being imported from foreign countries.
It is the view of NDNGSA, the Chargeman
& JWM Cadre is known as backbone in the recoupment of 50% of defence
production. This cadres are incorporated with highly educated employees, devoted towards the
nation with Diploma/ Degree /Master Degrees in Engg. & in relevant fields & well expereienced in
their fields, If these Cadres are motivated by the Govt. of India/OFB by providing
proper pay package & by providing proper promotional prospects, then these
two cadres will be able to prepare a plateform in OFB to get the production of
32 thousand crores rupees, in this way our country will be able to save the
valuable foreign revenue i.e. around 16 thousand crores.
2. The
Chargeman cadre is also deprived with respect to carrier progression by
getting only one promotion in the service period, but the subordinates &
higher Officials are getting 5 to 6 promotions in their service span. Which
should be rectified.
3. It is demanded,
to give yearly increment of 5% instead of 3%.
4. In any respect, the pay package of
Chargeman is higher than that of Subordinate Artisan Cadres.
